Fender Mustang Bass 1977 - Natural
Fender Mustang Bass 1977 - Natural
Our users rate Reverb
A beautiful 1977 Fender Mustang Bass in the highly sought-after Natural finish with maple fingerboard, presented in excellent original condition. The bass comes complete with an original Fender hardshell case (code BA86).
This Mustang Bass is completely original, including the original Natural finish, pickups, potentiometers, tuners, and even the original mute — a particularly nice detail for collectors. The original frets remain in very good condition, and the neck is straight and plays well.
The instrument has no cracks, breaks, or repairs and is remarkably well preserved for its age. It does, of course, show the usual signs of use and age appropriate to a vintage instrument.
The Fender Mustang Bass was introduced in 1964 as a more affordable and compact alternative to Fender’s higher-priced models such as the Precision Bass and Jazz Bass. Today, original examples from the 1970s are highly appreciated by players and collectors alike.
