I'm selling this very rare Epiphone Scroll SC-450, a unique and original model made in Japan in the 1970s, reminiscent of Prince’s iconic Cloud guitars. The guitar features an all-solid maple construction (body and neck) with a set neck (not bolt-on like the SC-350 models). It’s not a lightweight guitar, but it’s also not as heavy as a Gibson Les Paul. It has excellent acoustic resonance thanks to the quality woods and build. In my opinion, this guitar combines the best of both Fender and Gibson worlds:Slim-profile maple neck with a Fender-scale length (25.5") that’s extremely comfortable and easy to play. It has a rosewood fingerboard, 24 frets, and mother of pearl dot inlays. The nut is approximately 1 5/8" wide (likely made of bone). This is the rarest and most sought-after version, featuring the legendary Leo Quan Badass wraparound bridge. Most other examples come with the standard Tune-O-Matic/stop bar combo. The dual humbuckers and electronics are all original, with a 3-way pickup selector switch, plus a coil-split mini toggle for added versatility. This guitar can cover a wide tonal range!Fully functional truss rod and original tuners. The guitar is 100% original and in very good condition with a few minor dents and scratches, which is also rare for this model.I’ve seen a few on Reverb in worse condition, missing original parts like the Badass bridge, and priced over €2000. I’m offering mine at a very fair price for a quick sale, simply because I have too many guitars and need to make space. No hard case, but I’m including a high-quality gig bag.The guitar was recently professionally set up, including a fret level, full adjustment, and a fresh set of strings — the playability is top-notch.Pickup available in Paris.
