Video: A CB Radio Pedal? What's This Fever Dream?

Pine-Box Customs and Mask Audio Electronics have teamed up on a very unique and highly experimental new stompbox called the Fever Dream. This pedal is both a low-pass filter and fuzz, but the most unique part about it by far is that it comes with an actual CB mic.

The aptly named Fever Dream features two quarter-inch jacks—one instrument input that routes to the controls and one CB input with volume control.

Tonally, its first circuit is capable of producing thick and meaty fuzz (controlled by the volume and gain pots) and that blends into the modulating filter circuit, with a wide speed and depth range as well as a resonance effect that can add self-oscillation to the fuzz with and without modulation.

The included CB mic has its own off/on switch and input level and allows players to insert their voice into their own pedalboard, blended with a thick fuzz signal. In the video above, Andy digs into some of the excellent features this special pedal is capable of.
