Today's Reverb find is a special Wurlitzer 200 series piano that's a much rarer find than most of the models in the revered series. That's because this piano is a Wurlitzer 205V instructor's edition console. According to the seller of this specific electric piano, this is only the second 205V model they've ever seen, having owned and sold the first to an unnamed composer in Los Angeles last year.

While the Wurlitzer history is long and full of various models offered over the last several decades, the 200 series houses the crop of electric piano models that Wurly fans seem to covet the most today. They're way more durable than the models that came earlier, which makes them more roadworthy and less generally cumbersome without sacrificing sound or playability.

The 200 and 200A, known as the professional performance consoles, are generally the most popular models among today's vintage e-piano players. But lots of other known players, like Norah Jones, also swear by the 206 student model. The 205V is nearly identical to the 206 but being that it's the instructor's edition, it has a lot of extra features.

Notably, the 205V is capable of hooking up six student model Wurlitzers to its one master keyboard. By using the switches on the 205V's control panel and a headset, the teacher can also monitor each student's playing and even speak to them individually while everyone plays at the same time.

The 205V also has the necessary wiring to pair with Wurlitzer's unique V-500 Key/Note Visualizer, which you can see demonstrated in the video above. The Visualizer can be hung on the wall in front of or behind your piano (or players can use its dedicated stand) and tracks what notes and keys are being played in real-time to represent through lights on the board.

Though this listing doesn't come with the Visualizer (and you don't really need it unless you're teaching or just want the full aesthetic experience), it's definitely a great piece of history in a really clean package and does come with the music stand and speaker enclosure on wheels.
