PEAVEY Limited Edition HP 2 Tiger Eye

The PEAVEY HP 2 is a model that inherits the design of “Wolfgang,” developed jointly by Eddie Van Halen and Peavey.

When Eddie’s contract ended in 2004, the Wolfgang name could no longer be used, so the model was improved based on the original design and released as the “HP (High Performance) series.”

This is the Limited Edition Tiger Eye color with a beautiful quilted maple top.
The body has a figured maple top, basswood back, a bird’s-eye maple neck, and a bird’s-eye maple fingerboard.

The bridge is a Peavey/Floyd Rose licensed bridge and features a recessed cavity for up-pull use.

It is fitted with two original humbucker pickups.

In addition to the 3-way selector, it has a coil-tap function via the tone knob push/pull, allowing it to cover a wide range from thick and powerful humbucker sounds to crisp single-coil-like sounds.

Compared with the Wolfgang, the main differences are the addition of coil tap and the recessed cavity, making it a model that emphasizes more modern playability and sound variation.

There is an impact mark on the body back that appears to be buckle damage, but other than that there are few noticeable scratches, and the overall condition is very clean.
The neck is straight, and the frets are in good condition with almost no signs of use.
