This listing is for a vintage 1972 Slingerland model # 1429 concert tom.
This drum has a three-ply shell (maple/poplar/maple) with twin solid maple counter hoops that measures 9" deep x 13" wide. The exterior and the interior are finished in gorgeous, clear nitrocellulose lacquer. The maple shell is wrapped both inside in the most amazing, highly figured maple, just like on a guitar!
The finish is scratched in the area around the Slingerland name badge (see picture # 1 and picture # 2).
The shell is outfitted with six Slingerland die-cast lugs, a Slingerland "stick-saver" hoop, 6 tension rods, and a single Setomatic tom mounting bracket. All of the hardware is beautifully chrome plated and is free from rusting or pitting.
