Yamaha Tour Custom 1987 - Cobalt Blue

Rare opportunity for a full set of vintage Tour Customs in ‘80s power sizes. Period-correct right down to the drum key. Upgraded 9000 series (Recording Custom) top-of-the-line heavy-duty hardware included. 22”x16” kick, 14”x6.5” snare, 10”,12”,13”, 14”, 16” toms. Serial numbers date the drums to mid-1987 except for the 14” tom which was added in 1988. Everything is original except the heads. All bearing edges are unmolested and straight. All lug nuts are lubricated and work flawlessly. Includes the tom/cymbal stands shown in the photos which can hold up to 7 cymbals - generic double cymbal mount is not Yamaha but works well. Minor pitting on some of the hardware, but absolutely zero pitting on any of the tuning lugs. Rubber kick drum feet don’t work, spikes only. 8000 series hi-hat pedal is a little sticky; no kick pedal included. Kit is ready to play - just tune the heads, add cymbals, kick pedal and a throne (DW 4000 double pedal and a Roc-n-Soc throne are also available at a good price). Overall the kit is in very good condition - especially for its age - but there are some visible imperfections which can be seen in additional photos on request. The kit was quickly set up for photos but will be broken down again, so it’s not available for in-person demos. I’m the second owner, bought these 20 years ago and they lived in my basement.
