[Condition]

[Features]
The Yamaha YBL-822 is known as a model supervised by Douglas Yeo, former bass trombonist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This particular instrument is an early model that was released overseas before its domestic release. The basic design, featuring a 9.5-inch one-piece gold brass bell, a 14.30 mm slide bore, and offset 2 rotary valves, was directly carried over to the later YBL-822. Furthermore, this instrument is equipped with a gold brass main tuning slide and dome-shaped rotary caps, which were changed in the 822, making it closer in specifications to the current YBL-822. The YBL-822, which joined the domestic lineup in 2010, is a long-selling model that continues to be produced today. In Yamaha, a company known for its relatively rapid model change cycles, the long-standing support for this same design philosophy speaks to the high level of perfection achieved in this offset double rotary bass trombone. It boasts a rich resonance unique to gold brass, combined with a smooth airflow thanks to the offset placement. While possessing a deep, resonant bass tone, it maintains a responsive feel, and its compact playing feel makes it easy to control the sound. The fast response and quick attack of the sound, characteristic of the unlacquered finish, are also noteworthy.

This particular model is an early overseas sales model used by Douglas Yeo himself. It's a kind of origin, a model that led to the perfection of the current YBL-822. This bass trombone is recommended for those seeking a solid bass tone and ease of use.
