Excellent playing and working condition with only cosmetic signs of use consistent with its age.

Up for sale is my original 1998 Caparison PLM-1 EGS, the signature model of Pete Lesperance of Harem Scarem.

I purchased this guitar new in 1998 and have been the sole owner ever since.

The PLM-1 is one of the earliest and most collectible Caparison signature models from the late 1990s. Finished in Emerald Green Sunburst (EGS), it features a beautiful flame maple top, ebony fingerboard with Caparison clock inlays, gold hardware, and a fixed bridge design that delivers excellent sustain and tuning stability.

What makes this example particularly special is that it includes the original promotional prize package awarded by lottery to only 20 owners after the model’s release.

Condition

The guitar is fully functional and all electronics operate properly.

Cosmetically, the guitar remains in very good condition for its age. However, as expected from a 1998 instrument, there are some signs of use:

• Several small dings and minor surface marks on the top of the body
• Extensive buckle rash and surface scratches on the back of the body, particularly around the center and neck-joint area
• No significant paint loss or exposed wood from these marks
• Natural tarnishing and aging of the gold hardware
• General light wear consistent with careful ownership over nearly three decades
