This pedal needed to be able to create vintage TS sounds while also being a modern overdrive. Therefore, we added a switch on the side. By switching between VINTAGE and MODERN modes, you can satisfy these conflicting elements without compromise.

In VINTAGE mode, it produces a uniquely beautiful distortion, especially that of the large-case TS-808. The tone is creamy, warm, and three-dimensional. The dynamic range isn't particularly wide, and the midrange is strongly emphasized. Yet, it's well-balanced and doesn't have the oppressive, nasal sound often associated with TS-808s.

Furthermore, we've also captured the sound of a boost setting with OVERDRIVE at minimum and LEVEL at maximum. And we've expanded that control range. In other words, you can now reach settings like OVERDRIVE=-2 and LEVEL=12. Conversely, the TONE knob has a limited adjustment range, only for fine-tuning expressive details. Most players don't use the TS808's TONE from minimum to maximum. If you want to roll off the tone, the guitar's side is more effective, and with the 808, turning the tone up too high makes the sound too thin. Therefore, we've set it in the range that guitarists need most.

In MODERN mode, it transforms into a transparent overdrive capable of a completely clean boost. It adds vitality without drastically altering the sound of the guitar and amp. This overdrive can also be used like a preamp or compressor. The gain can be easily changed with the guitar's volume knob or the strength of your picking. It has a wide range and high response. It is also effective as an always-on drive to add a slight thickness to the guitar tone. In addition, unlike VINTAGE mode, you can actively adjust the tone.
