The Waldorf M is an eight-voice, four-part multitimbral wavetable synthesizer that pairs Microwave-heritage wavetable oscillators with true analog filters in the same full-metal desktop chassis family as Kyra and Iridium. It ships with classic Microwave and PPG-converted flavor content while adding modern conveniences the original Microwave never had.
Wavetable modes
Two wavetable oscillators per voice can run Classic Microwave 1 behavior or Modern Microwave II/XT mode. The Mode button switches how the oscillators respond, so the same tables can feel archival or more contemporary. A high-resolution graphic display and four endless encoders support hands-on editing.
Analog filters and I/O
After the digital wavetable core, analog filters warm and shape the tone. Main and aux line outs, headphones with level control, full-size MIDI In/Out/Thru, USB MIDI, and a microSD slot cover studio routing and library exchange.
