This 2012 1958 Les Paul Custom Shop reproduction has the look and feel of an epic vintage instrument. It was originally purchased by a traveling anesthesiologist who had passed away and I found it on the classifieds being listed by his young son, a college student at the University of Maine who needed money for tuition to study some kind of crazy future science that he told me of but I've since forgotten. -Real nice kid, of course he wanted what I am currently charging for it, but I explained that, well, if he wants to sell it in a reasonable time manner locally without advertising it nationally etc, that he would have to take a little less. The thing is, I love these guitars, and don't mind caretaking them in the meantime while we look for a proper new home, and I assured him, the son of the guy, that indeed this guitar will be going to a good home. So with that in mind, poor tempered and angst ridden careless types will not be tolerated when applying for this.

There's just something alluring about these plain top 58's that seem more authentic than those loudly flamed 'Hey Look At Me!' R9's, don't get me wrong I love a nice wide flame, perhaps on an unusual color way, but this gorgeous glowing honey colored LP always get my eye to linger on it longer on the wall next to my other great guitars.

When I first saw in the case on a kitchen table in Bangor Maine on a dreary winter day, I knew I had to have it. It was laying beneath a light coat of dusty neglect but after a thorough deluxe polishing, a triple fretboard conditioning, and a fret polish, with new D'addario NYXL's and a set-up this is pretty much as good as when it came from the factory. Gorgeously clean condition with obviously very little play time on it, this Les Paul has aged well. Thick and syrupy tones that sustain for days this Les Paul weighs a respectable 9 pounds 1 pounce that won't break your back.

Comes with the original Custom Shop case and all the case candy including COA.
