The Shure M68FCA is a compact, economical transformer coupled microphone mixer designed for combining multiple mic and auxiliary audio sources in live sound, tape recording, A/V systems, paging and similar applications. - Introduced in the 1970s-80s era as a variation of the original M68 design. The “FCA” suffix denotes the version with female XLR input connectors, compared to the M68A with male XLRs. These models are listed in Shure product catalogs from the 1980s and into the early 1990s

- Four microphone inputs — each switchable between low-impedance (balanced/unbalanced) and high-impedance mode.
- One auxiliary input for tape decks or other line-level sources.
