Vintage RARE British 1940's Grundig GCM3 microphone w accessories Tannoy Reslo

  You are looking at a rarer and very unique 1950's era (possibly 1940's) Grundig brand GCM3 model microphone manufactured in England. This beautiful microphone has a look all it's own and has a built in desk stand with a short cable that is in excellent physical condition. It comes with it's original hard to find box and short cable.

 It should be noted right away that the mic's original element no longer works so this should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only. I'm not even sure if it's a crystal or dynamic model but I'm leaning towards crystal.

 I should also say that I know nothing of the Grundig brand microphones and this is only my second example ever offered. I don't know anything about the history of this company and I don't know the exact years it was sold but 1950's would be my guesstimation. If you know anything of this model I'd love to hear about it?

 The mic is quite large actually being appx 4 1/2 inches tall X 3 1/3 inches wide. It has a gorgeous brown bakelite body with gold accents that really pop and have a strong deco vibe.

 Everything is tight on this mic. Nothing loose inside. 

 The mic has virtually no wear as seen in the pics provided. No dents, scratches or fractures and the front screen is perfect. The built in base is aslo perfect and has the original pad ont he bottom.

 The short 6 foot cloth cable is original and has the European Tuschel end connector. It's wired correctly. No issues.

 Other than that I don't know anything about this mic. It will make a beautiful display piece anywhere in the home, office or studio. It's rarity and pristine condition will ensure that this mic continues to rise in value over the years. Thanks for looking!
