KORG 770:

Classic 1970s KORG Analog Synth – Raw, Warm, and Authentic Sound

Description

KORG 770 is a monophonic analog synthesizer released by KORG in the mid-1970s, and is considered one of the company’s early classic models that led to the later MS series. This synthesizer features a true analog sound engine with two oscillators, offering rich, powerful tones as well as experimental textures made possible by noise sources and ring modulation. It is capable of producing thick leads, deep basses, and unique electronic sound effects that are difficult to replicate with modern digital instruments. The KORG 770 is equipped with KORG’s distinctive Traveler filter (high-pass and low-pass), allowing intuitive shaping of the sound’s character and frequency balance. With its simple and hands-on control layout, it delivers the authentic experience of classic analog sound design.

The keyboard has 32 keys and is monophonic, making it especially well suited for lead lines, bass sounds, and expressive analog phrases. As a product of its era, it does not feature MIDI, but instead offers the pure, standalone character that vintage synthesizer enthusiasts appreciate. Today, the KORG 770 is regarded as a desirable vintage synthesizer, valued for its warm analog tone, unique sonic personality, and classic 1970s design. It is an excellent choice for collectors, musicians, and sound designers seeking genuine vintage analog sound.
