Basic controls
- Keys and Pads: Use the 25 velocity-sensitive mini keys and 8 RGB backlit drum pads to play notes and trigger samples.
- Knobs: The 8 assignable rotary encoders can be mapped to control parameters like volume, pan, or filter cutoff in your DAW.
- Pitch and Modulation: Use the touch strips for pitch bending and modulation.
- Arpeggiator: Press the 'ARP' button to enable the arpeggiator and hold it while pressing a key to adjust its settings.
- Smart Functions: Press the 'SC/CH' button to enable Smart Chord or Smart Scale modes, which helps you play in a specific scale or with one finger chords.
Connectivity and setup
- Wired: Connect with a USB-C cable to a computer or mobile device. Most operating systems don't require additional drivers.
- Wireless: Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device and the SMK-25. The device can connect wirelessly without a cable.
- Power: Power the device via USB-C or the built-in 2000mAh rechargeable battery for portability.
Preset and velocity curve
- Preset Selection: To switch between internal presets, hold the 'BT' button and press one of the 8 pads.
- Velocity Curve: To change the velocity curve for the keys and pads, hold the 'KNOB' button and press one of the 8 pads.
