This 1960 Martin 112T combo amplifier is an exceptionally rare and beautifully preserved example from the short-lived line of amplifiers built for C.F. Martin & Co. by DeArmond in Toledo, Ohio.

In mint condition, this amp represents one of the cleanest surviving examples of a model known for its lush tube-driven tremolo and warm, articulate tone. With approximately 12 watts of output, it’s ideal for studio use, small gigs, or collectors seeking the pure, dynamic voice of early-1960s American tube design.

The only change to the amp is the grounded power cable.

The circuit is all-tube, powered by a pair of 6V6s, with a single 12" Jensen speaker that produces rich midrange and a pleasing, natural breakup. The tremolo circuit—one of DeArmond’s hallmarks—offers deep, pulsing modulation that rivals the best contemporary Fender designs. The original covering, grille cloth, and control panel are in pristine condition, making this a museum-worthy piece.

These amps are thought of as an upgraded Tweed Deluxe, with their larger transformers that give a slightly girthier sound with more headroom.

This is just about the coolest looking amp from the period.  Period.  There is no way there is a cleaner one out there.  Non original cover included to help keep it that way.

At Mahar’s Vintage Guitars, every amplifier is inspected, tested, and photographed accurately. We buy, sell, and accept trades on rare vintage amps and instruments. Explore our Fender Amplifiers Collection, Vintage Fender Guitars, or Sell or Trade Your Gear page.

Shipping policy:

When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  These cases require the buyer to re-install them on delivery - it is very easy with this amp, and we label them so you know exactly where to put them.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently.  Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping.  We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to .  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
