Very Good condition, 7,5/10, Made in Korea, including original hardcase (square black with red interior), this is a 1980s Korean replica of a Fender Precision Bass with a maple neck and a black 3-ply pickguard, the knobs have been replaced and now has 2 pc silver Hi-Fi style knobs, has the original bridge cover but is missing the pickup cover, the thumb rest has been moved from below to above the strings.

The brand name Harmony was sold by the US company in 1975 and for made in the late 1970’s/early 1980´s by the Samick factory in South Korea which labeled their instruments with different brand names such as Hondo II, Harmony, Lotus and we believe the removed sticker on the neck plate would say the model name H830S which first came out with a Maxon humbucker and a different bridge, but later with a P-style split pickup such as this one, more info:

Harmony was created in 1892, bought by Sears, Roebuck and Co. in 1916 and by 1930 had become the largest musical instrument manufacturer in the U.S. They were built in Chicago and had become the standard for budget instruments until the 1970s, when they were undercut and overtaken by Japanese manufacturers. The Chicago factory was closed in 1975. The name was purchased by Global (a division of FDTC trading company) in 1976.[1] Harmony returned in 1978 under Global/FDTC, with a lineup entirely different from the quirky Chicago-made models. They were then mostly copies based on the Hondo lineup, made in Korea by Samick. Some models of this era can be easily identified by the tagline "Est. 1892" under "Harmony" on the headstock. Lower end models like the H-802 were subbed out to another contract builder in Taiwan, just like Global branded product was. It is often stated that some Harmony guitars were made in Japan, but verified examples do not seem to exist, and the guitars in question are simply misidentified Samick builds. The sub-brands Marquis, then Discovery surfaced in the early 1980s. Korean production continued until at least 1992. After that, it moved to Samick's Indonesian factory.
