This is another project between John Mann (MannMade USA) and Mark's Guitar Loft. There are a number of reissue thumbwheels on the market that are somewhat close but none are 100% correct. One of the main reasons is that the exact knurling tool that was used for the original '50's thumbwheels is no longer in use. So we had one custom made! We took detailed measurements and inspected every detail on several original sets of '50's thumbwheels. We also had metalurgy tests performed on the original parts to confirm the exact alloy of each part. These thumbwheels and posts are the direct result of our findings. These parts are now available in 2 versions from MannMade USA, Nickel and Relic.
