Zildjian Kerope Cymbals - The Much-Anticipated Rebirth of a Truly Unique Design

Crafted by the very hands that first brought it to life decades ago, the revered Kerope is making a grand return—giving drummers around the world the chance to experience the timeless Zildjian sound once more. This reimagined Kerope pays homage to its namesake intermediate-stamp Turkish K’s, carrying a sonic heritage that dates back over half a century. With its unmatched texture and depth, Kerope cymbals infuse music with a richness and warmth that resonate deeply with even the most discerning sound enthusiasts who have long pursued the legendary "K" sound.

The entire bow is hammered into shape, undergoing over four times the hammering of a K Constantinople, reminiscent of old-world techniques used to make these K's through the mid 20th century. A lathing pattern including a traditional deep pin lathe that boldens stick sound and favors brush work, a unique waxing process and twice as many testing processes for sound are all critical to achieving the iconic qualities of Kerope that ring true to its storied past.

Kerope ride cymbals offer drummers an unparalleled playing experience, delivering an instantly inspiring touch and a beautifully warm, complex crash that captivates both performers and audiences alike. The stick attack is crisp and articulate, seamlessly blending with the cymbal’s wash to create a perfect sonic harmony within any ensemble. Every Kerope bears a signature in the bell—just as the originals did—of the legendary Craigie Zildjian, making it the only cymbal in our collection to carry her name.
