Vintage Maxon Blubber Crying Machine Wah

Up for sale a very cool wah pedal made by Maxon in Japan. Very soon after the wah pedals became popular in Europe and italian production went full scale, Japan followed. Starting in early 70s there are several examples of Maxon, Greco, Guyatone wah pedals which in all cases were made to a high quality standard as all other pedals from the era.

This is another example of how Maxon was leading standards in the 70s and 80s - fantastic sound, built like a tank, it includes LED indicator which was not featured on any other wah I can think of at the time, overall very solid pedal. Sounds great and bit more aggresive than your typical vintage wah like Vox or Jen - not sure if that's due to different bias on transistors, hotter inductor (vintage standard was 500mH, the TDK inductors in Maxon and Greco are noted 620). One way or another it's got a different sound that fits lovely both in some lead work and when working on your funk chops.

It can be powered with 9v battery only.
