I've wanted to build a half guard Stratocaster for quite some time, and when a client gave me a guitar to hotrod and a year later I still couldn't get a hold of him to discuss what he wanted, I decided to just go for it.
The body is from a Jay Turser and is quite solid; the neck is imported from a master who only builds necks, and though it is one of the lesser expensive ones, the quality is undeniable; I made the pickguard myself; brass dome knobs; five way Fender switch; gold hardware; early Squier closed tuners; bone nut, 20awg curcuits, a mallory .047 for each tone pot (the first tone pot is for the neck and bridge, while the bottom pot controls the middle pickup). Pickups test as follows: neck, 5.94; middle, 6.7; bridge, 7.5. The treble bleeds make this thing into a mad dog, and it takes quite a bit to tame. Shipping outside Canada is calculated once I have your address. Only if you are interested and motivated, do I want to have to go to the post office to find out how much it's going to be the ship, so please be mindful of that.
