A bit of American garage rock history.
Harmony were once the highest selling guitar makers in America. The reason is simple, most everyone could afford one. You could say that Harmony is responsible for the original garage rock scene and sound as teens across the nation saved up, hit their local Sears department store, plugged in and wigged out with their friends in the family garage. It's the sound of joyous, rebelious youth cranked up to 10.
I'm pretty sure this is an H801 model with it's distinctive 'dove's head' head-stock. I believe it is early to mid sixties.
It is missing a fret and some of the original gromets have been replaced. There is a small piece of binding (one fret) missing. Looks to be all original. The neck is good, truss turns, tuners work, electronics are fine. It's structurally sound with no cracks but a few nicks and scrapes. Some kid scratched out the Harmony logo (if only they knew how cool these would become) but the 'established 1892' stamp proudly remains. It needs someone to love it again. Be that someone.
