Comes with older Gibson (60’s era) case - excellent condition

This guitar was purchased from Rudy’s Music in Manhattan ~3 years ago and used in a home studio. It is stamped as a ‘Factory Second’ - Gibson took this action for this unit due to light checking that occurred on the bass side of the lower bout (common issue for this run).  This checking is not highly visible and does not appear to have spread.  The ‘checking’ condition of the entire guitar is excellent, especially for a 1978!  It currently has flat wound strings and plays beautifully with excellent action and intonation.  This guitar looks great but it is a player - don’t hang it for a display :)

The pickups were replaced with older “Patent No 2,737,842” pickups.  These pickups sound sweet and are dated in the 1962-1965 range.  Resistance measurements in body are 8.16K Neck and  7.16K Bridge.   It has CTS pots and they are dated 25th week of 1978.  All of the electronics are original except for a replaced neck tone knob.
