Ernie Ball and the Grammy-winning Dream Theater founder have once again collaborated on this limited-edition John Petrucci Majesty 7. This one-time run of 50 guitars enhances the original Majesty’s power and beauty with figured tonewoods, an ultra-stable 3-piece neck, and a unique finish. The Majesty 7's sleek body features a neck-through design built from spalted maple and mahogany, accented with black limba wings and capped with spalted maple — the result is a guitar that almost looks better than it sounds were it not for the Majesty's superlative onboard electronics. Custom DiMarzio pickups and an active preamp match these intense tonewoods with shimmering cleans, high-fidelity dirt, +20dB boost and coil-split options, and stereo or mono output options. The Majesty’s onboard piezo system also delivers convincing acoustic tones, which is enough versatility to make this guitar an all-purpose crown jewel for the studio or the stage.

Deluxe figured tonewoods
The Majesty 7's comfortable design relies on the classic combination of mahogany with a spalted maple cap, elevated by highly figured black limba wings for a touch of warmth and visual flair. Black limba is prized for its lightweight and mahogany-style tone, but most of all for stunning patterns of fine dark wood grain caused by mineral deposits in the soil. To keep fretting comfortable, the Majesty 7 features a mahogany and a roasted flame maple neck with 3-piece construction that keeps this guitar stable even when climate and weather get rough. Plus, the neck features a fast super thin/flat neck that’s built for 7-string speed and a stunning roasted flame maple fingerboard that's hearty and smooth.

Ready for any style
Custom-voiced DiMarzio humbuckers voiced to John Petrucci's specs tackle everything from chimey cleans to fearsome high-gain aggression like a champ. The Dreamcatcher 7's low-mid emphasis is great for cutting through a mix without sounding thin, while the Rainmaker 7 leans towards warm highs and open mids with a pure, natural sound and enhanced pick response. There's an additional piezo pickup on the bridge for convincing acoustic tones with the simple turn of a dial, and a smooth tremolo system that's ready for everything from deep dives to subtle bends. All electronics are supported by Music Man's powerful active preamp with additional features including a push-push +20dB gain boost volume knob, a push-push for coil-split mode on the tone knob, and mono and stereo output jacks. There's very little this exquisite axe can't do — and it does it all without a shred of compromise.

Heavy-duty hardware
The Majesty 7's Schaller M6-IND locking tuners make string changing a cinch. Simply insert the string, tighten the clamp screw, and tune up to pitch. And speaking of pitch, this guitar’s floating vibrato tailpiece is constructed from solid steel for smooth whammy action and impressive tuning stability. Plus, a chevron cover guards the saddles against accidental bends from hand pressure, something that heavy-handed palm muters will surely appreciate.
