Fender American Vintage ’62 Stratocaster (1987) – Transitional Fullerton/Corona Build
Serial V011932 • Complete Case Candy • Collector‑Grade
This 1987 Fender American Vintage ’62 Stratocaster is a rare transitional example from Fender’s post‑Fullerton rebirth, assembled in the early Corona plant using leftover Fullerton‑era components. These hybrids represent one of the most collectible and historically significant periods in modern Fender production.
Features include a beautifully preserved 3‑tone nitro sunburst finish, dark slab rosewood board, vintage Kluson tuners, full‑size steel trem block, black‑bobbin AVRI pickups, and CTS pots dated to the 18th week of 1987. The neck and body show no date stamps — a known trait of early Corona builds using pre‑finished Fullerton stock. Routing is vintage‑correct with no CNC marks.
Includes complete original case candy: Vintage Series booklet, trem springs envelope, bridge cover, backplate, warranty card, and unused 5‑way switch.
A fully documented, collector‑grade transitional AVRI with genuine Fullerton DNA.
