The Kenetek T4B is a drop-in replacement for the stock opto-attenuator that comes in the Klark Teknik KT-2A and 2A-KT. It makes the unit perform more like a vintage LA-2A.

"Well I popped the t4b into the kt-2a, sent +4db in the unit, and made sure that +4db was coming out. and calibrated the meter so that the voltage of -5db matched up with what the vu was reading as 5db of reduction. So I think I’m good? Sounds great!"

"I haven't had much time with the KT itself to really know what it sounds like stock. But I did throw vintage Mullard tubes in it and it sounded pretty good with the stock cell. BUT, I just dropped your Kenetek cell in and WOAH. It sounds really really good. Nice and smooth. The stock one may have been a little more "pokey" and more sibilant. I put it on a vocal and that's what I was hearing anyway. The new one smooths it out more and has more of a "sound" to it to my ears. That's my first impression anyway. Now if I was better at soldering and all that jazz I'd like to hear it with better capacitors and maybe even better transformers! haha"
