Genelec 4420A Smart IP 2-Way Installation Speaker (Black)

Overview

The Genelec 4420A is a compact 2-way Smart IP installation speaker with a 4 in woofer and a 3/4 in metal dome tweeter, each driven by its own 50 W Class D amplifier. One CAT cable brings PoE+ or PoE power, Dante or AES67 audio and control from the network switch. A balanced Euroblock input also takes analogue line audio while the speaker stays powered over Ethernet. The enclosure is recycled die-cast aluminium, and the speaker reaches 55 Hz (-6 dB) and 100 dB short-term SPL. Installers set the system up in Genelec Smart IP Manager software, and a public API connects it to house automation. It comes in black, white and RAW unpainted aluminium and is made in Finland.

• Controlled dispersion: DCW waveguide and MDE enclosure design, with 120 degrees horizontal and 100 degrees vertical dispersion.
• Intelligent Signal Sensing: ISS drops the speaker to a 4 W standby when no audio is present and wakes it on an incoming stream or an API command.
• Mounting: Rear M6 threads fit Genelec floor, ceiling, wall and truss accessories, and a keyhole wall bracket is supplied.
