Revox PR99 reel-to-reel

For sale is a Revox PR99 Professional Mono Reel-to-Reel Tape Recorder, housed in its original Revox Monitor enclosure with integrated speaker.

This is a professional broadcast-grade machine with a fascinating history. It retains its original CKNW Radio property identification, indicating previous use at the historic Canadian radio station in British Columbia.

The Revox PR99 is highly regarded for its robust Swiss engineering, professional audio performance, and reliability in demanding broadcast and studio environments.

Condition & Testing

The recorder is in good vintage cosmetic condition, showing normal signs of age and use.

The machine has been powered on and successfully tested for audio playback.

• Successfully played a reel of tape.
• Audio confirmed working through the front headphone output.
• Audio confirmed working through the rear XLR output.
• Digital tape counter powers on and illuminates and properly functions while the reel is playing.
• Both VU meters are present.
• Original Revox Monitor enclosure included.
• Two lower input selector knobs are missing, but the controls remain present.

Please note: The integrated Monitor speaker has not produced audio during my testing. This could be related to a setting, connection, or an issue requiring service. Recording functionality, calibration, and all other functions have not been comprehensively tested.

The machine is being sold in its current tested condition, without any guarantee regarding untested functions.
