Umbrella Company Mayonaise Fuzz, Made in Japan

The Mayonaise Fuzz from Japan's Umbrella Company is a destructive fuzz/distortion that references the most loved versions of the Big Muff. Paying respect to classic circuits now essential in classic and alternative rock styles, it stands as an original with its own modern tweaks for new textures and tunings. With naming that pays homage to some of the 90's most memorable tones, the Mayonaise offers thick and ripping drive with aggressive harmonics and incredible volume. It’s loud.

The two toggle switches give you a wide variety of tonal character not available to the average muff, with the "doping" toggle boosting the midrange for more presence, and the "1979" affecting the structure of the fuzz to make for a modern tone that's more compressed but also airy with no loss in low-frequency.

In addition, an internal switch lets you trigger a mode that emulates the sound of the Civil War Russian Muff. These features all combine for incredible flexibility in different live situations.

The Mayonaise Fuzz from Japan's Umbrella company can give you every muff sound you need, from creamy leads to tangy chords and other puns- without the calories.
