Product Details

The Maxon OD-801 D&S is a distortion/sustainer pedal developed by the Japanese effects pedal brand Maxon.

Following the D&S lineage, it employs a transistor-based distortion circuit.

While boasting a simple configuration typical of compact effects pedals, it's known for delivering powerful distortion and long sustain.

It features three controls: DISTORTION, TONE, and BALANCE, allowing for intuitive adjustment of distortion amount, tone, and output level.

Inheriting the basic circuit configuration of the D&S, it has evolved into a chassis with an easy-to-use footswitch and LED indicator.

Its simple operation allows for significant changes in distortion character, making it easy to match with various amplifiers.

The sound is characterized by the dense distortion unique to transistor circuits, covering everything from distortion to a rough tone approaching fuzz.

Even with heavy distortion, it easily retains the definition of chords, and for single notes, it delivers thickness and long sustain.

The TONE control allows you to adjust the sharpness of the high frequencies, making it suitable for a wide range of playing styles, from heavy riffs to sustained leads.

This model is worth considering for those who want to enjoy the rich character of a transistor-based distortion, distinct from modern, refined distortion.

Despite its simple 3-knob configuration, it allows for a wide range of distortion expressions, making it recommended for those who want to build a powerful guitar sound, especially in rock music.

Please consider this opportunity.
