At first glance, you might think that this is a Gibson ES-335. However, this is not the case, because at second glance you can see the exciting details of the ES-339. Smaller, handier and lighter, but with the same Vintage flair and the sound options of the "big sister" ES-335. Due to its small size and lighter weight, it is specially designed for ES lovers who want a more compact and lighter semi-hollow guitar. The smaller size also has the advantage that the ES-339 is much less prone to unwanted feedback. The Gibson ES-339 has been part of the Gibson program since 2007 and has since gained a large fan base.
The body of the "Gibson ES-339 Cherry" consists of three-ply AAA figured maple/poplar/maple and is particularly feedback-resistant due to its construction with a solid maple center block. The noble wood ingredients are rounded off by a mahogany neck in "Rounded C" format, which ensures an extremely comfortable playing feel. An "overall" cream binding adorns the front and back of the body and consequently continues on the one-piece mahogany neck, which is fitted with a classic rosewood fingerboard with Dot - inlays. The installed '57 Classic /'57 Classic + pickups are an excellent match for the overall concept of the ES-339 and make it an optimal working instrument for Jazz, Blues and Rock with their lively tone with Vintage character.
