Sabian Prototype 12'' (Simular to VFX ??)

I'm selling an unknown Sabian 12'' cymbal that I purchased used at Long and McQuade some time ago. I was under the impression that this was the bottom part of an older VFX hi-hat (since that line was the only Sabian cymbals I has seen in that colour) and because of the weight (1087g). But they told me that it came from the Prototype line and was indeed intended to be a cymbal. I'm not sure how to describe the sound, it's not near a splash or a crash, but it does sound unique in a good way. Thanks for looking.
