This Big Muff Pi V5 has been tested (via 9 volt battery) and works well without issue. The v5 features the same op-amp circuit as the V4 but with a tone bypass switch instead of an on/off switch. Produced and sold in tandem with the V4 Op-Amp predecessor, the fifth rendition of the Big Muff series featured the same op-amp circuitry as the fourth with the addition of a tone bypass. The tone bypass allowed for a flatter equalization, more pronounced distortion, and slight decibel boost.
