Winter NAMM Rescheduled for Summer 2022

The two seasons of NAMM—Winter in Anaheim, summer in Nashville—will converge next June, after plans for a January 2022 event have been put on hold.

With the ongoing pandemic still keeping travel plans and inventory up-in-the-air for gear manufacturers, dealers, and fans, Winter NAMM 2022 has been postponed until the following summer.

While Summer NAMM is usually a smaller show, held in Nashville, the combined 2022 NAMM Show will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California from June 3–5.

The NAMM organization is billing the new event as "Reuniting the Global Crossroads"—with the thought that, by summer 2022, the musical instruments industry will be able to reunite for the full NAMM experience.

As anyone who has attended in past years will know, Winter NAMM is a huge affair, where makers, retailers, and players from all over the world converge to see the latest and greatest gear, and discuss plans for the year ahead. The Winter 2020 show had well over 100,000 attendees from over 130 countries.

The coronavirus pandemic first hit the United States months after Winter NAMM 2020, and since then has led subsequent NAMM shows to be canceled or made into virtual events, up until this Summer's 2021 conference in Nashville.
