Mosrite The Ventures Model Surf Green

The history of the "Mosrite Ventures Model" began in 1963, and despite various specification changes, it has remained a classic model loved by many artists to this day. Used not only in surf music but also in punk rock, it was a favorite of numerous guitarists such as The Ventures, The Ramones, Takeshi Terauchi, and Yuzo Kayama.

This time, we have received a Mosrite in surf green, which appears to be made by Kurogumo. It weighs 3.51kg.

The headstock has the "The Ventures Model" logo, and the tremolo is marked "EXCELLENT". With the output jack placed at the pickguard, it is equipped with "1800F" and "1800R" pickups. Familiar specifications are present such as a slim neck, narrow metal nut, and zero fret, consistent with what one would expect of a good Mosrite. The pickups are high output, with a powerful and unique sound.

We have leveled the frets while also replacing the nut and two potentiometers, so the playing condition is good. It is a cost-effective and well-made model.

When examining a truss rod on a straight neck, we check that it can turn up to about 45 degrees in both directions. When we say the truss rod can be adjusted, we mean it can be adjusted up to 45 degrees. Anything beyond that risks damaging the instrument.
