For your consideration Tidewater Vintage offers this early 1961 Gibson Melody Maker D in Cherry finish.
Condition is Very Good showing normal players wear, scratches and chips but overall presents great. This rare guitar was refinished many many decades ago from what we understand but it has aged well and it looks even better in person
This guitar is a rare early-1961 Gibson Melody Maker Single Cutaway example with all original electronics intact.
All electronics, tuners, controls and switches work as they should
If you are looking for a 1950's Les Paul Junior but (like me!) can't afford to put out $10,000+ this is as close as you will get without breaking the bank 😊
The 1959-1961 Gibson Melody Maker D ("D" for Double pickup) is a lightweight solid-body electric guitar from Gibson's "Golden Era". 1961 was a transitional year for the model; earlier 1961 units retained the original single-cutaway body shape, while later 1961 units moved to the double-cutaway design with rounded horns.
