OPTICAL CONDITION
Excellent – signs of age, but the wooden body is beautifully preserved and the metal grille shows no trauma.

TECHNICAL CONDITION
Fully functional. The diaphragm was checked and cleaned; no noise or signal drop. Strong output and clean sound.

MODIFIED
Converted to modern 3-pin XLR for easy use with standard recording gear.

BUILD & DESIGN
The D11 L features a dynamic capsule connected to a real wooden body with silver grill metal . Compact and stylish, it stands apart from traditional black microphones, both visually and tonally. The capsule is mounted behind a small round grille on the flat face of the mic, giving it a natural top-facing pickup for instruments or vocals. Though lightweight, it feels solid and well made — a clear sign of AKG’s quality production standards of the time.

AN ADDED PIECE CALLED SC-HC THAT CAN BE MOUNTED ON THE GRILL CHANGES THE PICKUP PATTERN FROM HYPER CARDIOID TO SUPER CARDIOID
