Now available on consignment, a C. F. Martin & Co. D-76 Bicentennial from 1976.
This particular Martin D-76 is in pretty nice shape overall, being a part of a run of 1976 guitars made in that year to commemorate the Bicentennial of the USA.
Features include a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard with star inlays and the eagle on the headstock.
Work to the guitar includes:
The pickguard has been professionally replaced by Piers Crocker.
The original saddle has been shaved down for a lower action.
Otherwise the guitar is in decent condition for nearly 50 years old. There is some fret wear as you would expect, however it still plays well up and down the neck with a medium action. There some scratches and dings on the body, however the guitar is free from any cracks or repairs.
A great sounding example of an original Martin D-76 Bicentennial!
Includes the original Martin hardcase in good condition.
