Offered here is an exceptionally well-built, rare, and completely original 1982 Greco Mint Collection EGC57-60 Super Real Custom. This model is a faithful ’57 Les Paul Custom–style instrument, finished in ebony and paired with an exceptionally dark rosewood fretboard that delivers the unmistakable ebony-board aesthetic—an uncommon and highly desirable feature on these models. It features hand-scraped fret-edge binding and is fitted with a matched set of three hand-wound “Screamin” PAF-style humbuckers, offering outstanding vintage character, clarity, and depth.

Included is a brown leather Japanese gig bag supplied when originally purchased.

Highly sought after by both collectors and players, the EGC57-60 represents the pinnacle of Greco’s 1982 production and was built at the legendary FujiGen factory. This example is a true testament to Greco’s obsessive attention to detail, capturing the look and feel of a 1957 Gibson Les Paul Custom with remarkable accuracy. The belly top carve is perfectly executed—arguably more authentic than many modern Gibson vintage reissues—showing just how convincingly Greco nailed the original design.

This guitar remains completely original and intact throughout. Condition-wise, it is very much a player’s instrument and an absolute vibe machine, bearing numerous cosmetic imperfections that only enhance its vintage appeal. There are finish cracks on the body and neck along with various dings from honest use. The gold hardware has aged and tarnished beautifully, perfectly complementing the guitar’s aesthetic and adding to its undeniably killer looks. Importantly, there are no structural issues, breaks, or repairs, and the instrument is 100% functional.

The neck shows several cosmetic finish cracks and dings along its length, none of which affect playability. The frets show noticeable wear and are approaching the point where a refret may be desired, but the guitar still plays effortlessly across the entire fretboard. We’ve chosen to leave them as-is, as they contribute to a genuine “fretless wonder” playing experience.

The pickup rings have developed cracks over time but remain fully intact and have been left untouched to preserve originality. All original pots and onboard electronics are present and operate correctly. Sonically, the “Screamin” humbuckers deliver the open, woody, and harmonically rich PAF tones for which they are so highly regarded.
