AKG D36 DYNAMIC MICROPHONE
The AKG D36 is a classic dynamic mic that has a three-position bass roll off, great for creating vintage sounding kick and bass tones. These mics accept high SPL and EQ very well. Larger than its other siblings in the 'D' line (such as the D12), it also has two motors instead of one, and a separate pattern box to switch between Omni, Figure-of-eight and Cardioid. Kick drum sounds from heaven!
Service:
In the Akg d36 microphone, the felt windscreen on the capsules was replaced with a brass mesh.
Also, the original connectors on the microphone and cable were replaced with Neutrik connectors.
In the S36 unit, the variable impedance was fixed at 150 ohms, and the original output connector was replaced with a Neutrik XR connector.
History:
The larger D30 was the world’s first multi-pattern dynamic mic, its dual-motor design and built in pattern selector allowed for Omni, Cardioid and Figure-of Eight, and it also included a bass roll-off switch. Zeppelin and the Stones made extensive use of this mic. And the grandaddy of them all, appearing in 1959, is the D36, with a separate pattern box for its dual-motor design that can switch from Omni to Cardioid and all points in between.
Kit includes:
Akg d36,
Akg s36,
Original connecting cable,
