This Ovation Elite 1758 12-String is from the private collection of Billy Corgan.
This was Corgan's second acoustic guitar purchase. He bought two Ovations, a 6-string and a 12-string with his first publishing check. Both of those units were used on Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie. This particular guitar was an essential guitar for those two albums and was played on "Mayonaise," "ZERO," "In The Arms of Sleep," and many others. It was also used use this live.
This Ovation is incredibly clean, with no major blemishes or wear. The tuners all still have their luster, and wooden "leaves" are in great condition.
This 12-string holds its tune very well and plays easily and comfortability. Its strength, like most Ovations, is playing live, plugged in. Not a bad sound unplugged, but it wants to be amplified.
This guitar will ship in its original black flight case.
