This older Sanchis model 39 is in good playing condition. It has been well kept and sounds great with a ton of projection and volume. It features a Canadian cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. There is light play wear on this guitar with dings along binding and one on top below bridge. First three frets show minor wear but are in good shape and have lots of life left. Original case included. If interested please make us an offer!
The Vícente Sanchís Badía guitar factory was originally founded in 1915
byRicardo Sanchís Nacher (1881-1960), a talented luthier with close ties
with the shops of Manuel Ramírez and Domingo Esteso. When this guitar
was made in 1999 the company was run by the Vícente Sanchis, son of the
founder, and employed some 22 workers. Despite its size, methods of
construction remain doggedly traditional, and most of the work is done
by hand. In 2000, Vicente Sanchis retired and the firm was reorganized
by his sons and partners. The model 39 was among their top models,
offering great value for the money.
