Here for sale we have an Ovation 1613 Classic Electro-Acoustic Classical Guitar in Natural Gloss finish. Made in the USA, this guitar consists of a Solid Spruce top, a Deep Bowl Lyrachord Composite body, a Mahogany/Maple Multi-Ply neck, and an 18-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Sealed Ovation Gold tuners with pearloid buttons, a Walnut bridge, and an Ovation pickup and preamp system that is wired to a single master volume control. 

The Mahogany/Maple Multi-Ply neck plays well, with a rather slim profile which lends itself well to a wide variety of styles and techniques. The neck profile is a clear but soft 'V' shape which provides a distinctive yet refined playing experience across the register. The 'V' profile is often overlooked amongst a sea of 'C' and 'Low Oval' shapes, which is a shame because it is a highly ergonomic shape which can add a lot of character to an instrument. The gloss finish to the rear of the neck is pleasant to the touch and assists with smooth navigation of the 26.25" scale. 

The tone of the 1613 Classic is bright and clear thanks to the Lyrachord Bowl & Solid Spruce combination. The bowl shape to the rear assists with projection of the sound, whilst the Spruce top resonates beautifully and adds a snap and sparkle to the sound. The Ovation pickup and preamp system do an excellent job of conveying the acoustic voice of the instrument, with the on-board controls keeping things simple and allowing the player to focus on tone more than anything else.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the top edge of the headstock, these can be seen under direct light. Light markings are present inside the tuning  machine slot edges, with this pen markings can be seen near the high E tuning post.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Mild wear markings are present to the early register of the fingerboard which can be seen under close scrutiny, this is consistent with regular past use. Any markings to the rear of the neck are difficult to discern.

Body: Overall very good condition. A hole is present to the rear face treble side lower bout near the input jack, this is from a previous owner making this a mono guitar instead of a stereo guitar. Light to mild scratching is present to the front face of the body, the most apparent can be seen to the treble side of the rosette and sound hole consistent with past play wear, all scratching can be seen under direct light.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (3/16" hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. Light tarnishing is present to the gold finish of the tuning machines, with this light markings are present to the tuning posts from the tension of past strings. The volume control knob is missing from a previous owner.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2.5mm - Bass 3.25mm

Overall very good condition and fully functional. Mild scratching and markings are present to the exterior of the case.
