Since its release in 1974, the Roland RE-201, a legendary tape echo unit favored by numerous artists and still loved by many today, has had its sound revived in a twin-pedal version. The RE-20 meticulously models the sonic characteristics of the RE-201 using the latest DSP chip and COSM technology. The sound, design, and interface all realistically reproduce the legendary model.
The unique warmth of the Space Echo RE-201's echo sound is realistically reproduced using COSM technology.
Just like the original, it is equipped with a total of 12 types of echo and reverb effects.
It allows for input of delay time and twist effects via a tap pedal, and real-time parameter control via an external expression pedal.
Two delay time modes are available, including a long mode with a maximum delay time of 6 seconds.
It features a virtual tape display that visualizes the tape running.
