Original 1960s (circa 1966) Excelsior-made case originally sold with Epiphone's flagship 12-string model, the FT-112 ("The Bard"). This case features the classic grey tolex with blue lining (also seen in vintage Geib cases produced for Martin, however this particular example is of the economy kind - featuring a pasteboard construction.

Internal dimensions are approximately 113.5 x 41 x 13 (centimeters).

A case suitable for a collector with the aim to complete the proverbial package, or alternatively find an ever so slightly longer case to house your oddball 12 string: perhaps sharing not only an extra long scale length like the FT-112 (25.5") or an indulgently long headstock.

Made in USA.

Case is overall fair condition with minor signs of use on top side however the is a large gape from the bottom side of the headstock with the multi-ply pasteboard being internally exposed and subject to some moisture, allowing the piece in question to soften over the years.

A rare opportunity for restoration.
