We're musicians and builders trying to make buying and selling music gear simple & easy. We call Chicago home.
Meet the Team
We've spent time building and growing companies that deliver innovative software. Now we're melding that with our passion – music gear. Our founder, David, was tired of the online marketplaces that don't cater to musicians, so he set out to build a new platform that focused on people who love gear. The rest of us have bought into the same vision.
David Kalt FOUNDER / CEO
David's background is a blend between entrepreneurship, building technology firms, and a passion for music and gear. Prior to Chicago Music Exchange and Reverb, David was CEO and Co-Founder of online broker optionsXpress, which he took public back in 2005. Like most good businesses, David started Reverb based on his frustrations buying and selling guitars online. Next challenge? Make buying and selling used gear a fun, easy and painless experience.
