Original 2008 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul R8 1958 Re-Issue in original Sunburst finish.

Plays and sounds fantastic. Neck is nice and fat and plays great all the way up and down. Neck has '58 specs, nice and fat.

Guitar is weight relieved so it's only 7.5 pounds!

Custom Shop Gibson humbuckers have a fantastic vintage tone like the real deal.

The finish is particularly nicely flamed on this example with a wonderful book matched flame top.

Comes with original cert, all case candy, patch chord, and original Custom Shop Case.

Don't miss this one, it's a real nice example perfect for the player and collector alike.

Gibson Custom Shop '58 Les Paul Standard Reissue 2006 - 2012

  • The 2006 - 2012 Custom Shop '58 Les Paul Standard Reissues featured mahogany bodies with figured maple tops, Fat '50s necks with rosewood fretboards, and Burstbucker pickups. They were available in VOS or Gloss finishes
  • VOS finishes are slightly duller, and meant to simulate a vintage patina. Gloss finishes originally retailed for slightly more than VOS models.
  • Available in both Gloss and VOS versions of Iced Tea Burst, Washed Cherry, and Faded Tobacco, along with various other limited run finishes.
  • During this time, a 50th Anniversary model was also produced, along with a plaintop model.
  • Pickups were updated in 2013 to Gibson's Custombucker humbuckers.
