Gibson Les Paul Special 2015 - Heritage Cherry

Rather unique guitar here; I bought this used at a guitar center years back. At that time, it had EMG active pickups in it. I had those pickups swapped out by a luthier, and replaced with a genuine Gibson set I bought right here on Reverb....they were lifted from a Gibson E-339, so a Super 57 and a 490R (pic of the back of the pickups are in the listing as well). Gives this guitar a unique sound, but still has that Gibson voice. Honestly, these pickups are better than the standard burstbuckers in my opinion, but to each their own...could always swap these for whatever you like and resell these to break even.

Overall, the guitar is in good condition; no issues that affect playability. There are a few nicks here and there, which I've tried to capture in the photos. Frets and fretboard are in good condition as well. Tuners are not the robotic auto-tuning system that Gibson was installing back in 2015; instead, they are vintage-knob genuine Gibson standard tuners. Also the push/pull pots that came on most of the 2015 specials are not here; just standard pots (its a Gibson....you didn't want to split the coils anyway). Strings were changed some time back, but I haven't been playing it much lately (thus why I'm selling it), so I'm sure whoever buys the guitar would want it strung to their liking. Guitar was set up at the last string change, but again based on the next owner's preference, I'm sure you'd want to make it suit your playing style.

Great vintage look and tone...lower price than market reflects the hardware being swapped, and my desire to move it out and into someones hands that will appreciate it. Comes with and ships inside of a SKB hard case as well, can't beat that deal!
