This is a Kay K-2, built by Teisco (possibly Kawai) in Taiwan sometime in the late 60s or early 70s. The body is made of laminated wood of unknown species, and the neck is made of laminated maple. Color is transparent red.
It's all stock except the Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings and the tuners, which were replaced with identical era-correct parts because they were slightly better condition. I still have the originals.
The case is the correct cardboard type common to Asian guitars of the era. I believe, but can't guarantee that it is original to this guitar.
Its bruises can be seen in the last photos in the group.
